CAN I RUN/WALK WITH A BROTHER WOLF DOG?

If you have taken the proper volunteer training classes and are cleared by Brother Wolf to pick up a dog from the Adoption Center and take them on an outing, we welcome you to make the Walkathon your outing for the day! Please make sure to coordinate this with our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@bwar.org. And let the Adoption Center staff know where you are taking the dog so that they can make sure you take a dog who would enjoy an event environment.

IS THIS EVENT KID FRIENDLY?

Yes, bring the whole family! Children six and under do not need to register in order to participate. However, please note that since they are not registered participants, they will not receive an event T-shirt and will not be timed.

DO I HAVE TO REGISTER MY CHILD?

Anyone seven years old and above needs to be registered for the event in order to participate.

CAN I WALK INSTEAD OF RUN?

Yes, a lot of participants choose to walk. The walk is one mile and begins prior to the 5k run at 10am

WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?

Run or walk because you believe that every animal deserves the love of a forever family. This year, Brother Wolf will positively impact the lives of over 6,000 animals through our adoption, foster, trap-neuter-return, pet food pantry, pet transport and other programs.

DO I HAVE TO FUNDRAISE?

Event participants are not required to fundraise, but we encourage you to ask at least three people to support you as you run/walk to help animals in need. Brother Wolf will positively impact the lives of over 6,000 animals this year, and that important work only happens because of the support we receive from people like you. Challenge yourself to ask at least three people for $15. It’s all for the animals!

WHAT FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE EVENT?

There will be a food truck in attendance offering lunch and drinks for sale.

WILL THERE BE ALCOHOL AT THE EVENT?

Yes! We are working on our 2018 Beer Vendor and will release this information to the public in early spring. Must be 21 years old to consume alcohol.

CAN I VOLUNTEER AT THE EVENT?

Yes, please SIGN UP HERE to volunteer at this event.
